Double Bill is a show which will be performed by our Acting students at Tom Ball Live. The show is split into two halves with the first half of the show being performed by our Junior Actors and the second by the Senior Actors.
Our Juniors will be performing an adaptation of book Gangsta Granny written by David Walliams and adapted by our Acting teacher Luke Broughton.
The story focuses on a young boy who is having to stay with his Granny every Friday because his parents go to see a dancing show names Strictly Stars Dancing. He finds her boring and repetitive as his granny always feeds him cabbage-related dishes. However, all is not what it seems and there is a big adventure on the way.
The Senior Actors are performing a reduced version of the play Ruckus in the Garden.
Ruckus in the Garden is a very funny and entertaining look at the trials of being a teenager, with a modern nod to A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It’s fast-paced and full of action as two rival schools meet on a school trip to a stately home and the Garden of Cecil Fortescue. Numerous fights break out between some unlikely opponents and the girls are just as feisty as the boys. However, the statues in the garden come to life, and start playing tricks on the teens, and that’s when things get really complicated, and some home truths are revealed.
When is the performance?
The performance is on Tuesday 28 June 2016 from 6.30-8.30pm at Temple Moor High School.
